Wavelength service uses the development of fibre optic technology to offer a high-capacity bandwidth solution to meet evolving business needs and the needs of end users. Today’s presentation will look at what Wavelength technology is and why it is important to the needs of your customers. We will look at how it works and where we, as IT professionals, can leverage this technology to improve customer experience and provide value to your business

 

Presenter Bio

Richard Redekop – Client Technology Manager, SaskTel

Richard has over 33 years experience in Telecommunications and has worked in ICT Business Solutions for the last 16 years, focused on the Health, Education, Mining, Municipal government, Finance, and Oil and Gas industry sectors. With the experience gained from positions in engineering, operations, and maintenance (both switching and data), Richard’s areas of expertise include: internetworking design, strategic planning, communications architecture design, IT architecture design, security strategy development, business continuity, and wireless strategy.

 

Currently, as a Client Technology Manager with SaskTel, Richard provides the assessment and recommendation of information and communication technology solutions to meet customer business requirements. Through joint strategic planning, Richard provides technical leadership to achieve business solutions utilizing all aspects of network and IT architecture innovation.
