Speakers Biography: 

Faramarz Farahani was appointed as Vice President of Technology on November 1, 2010 at Federated Cooperative Limited.  In this newly created executive position, he is responsible for leading all aspects of FCL’s Information Technology and establishing a unified technology platform for Co-operative Retailing Systems.  Faramarz has over 18 years of IT leadership experience, focusing on managing IT strategies, projects, architecture, applications and infrastructure.  Prior to FCL, he worked for IBM, Siebel, Informatica, Cogeco and Katz.

Rob Jaspar has a B. Comm. degree, with Great Distinction, from the University of Saskatchewan, and a Chartered Accountant designation. His involvement with PotashCorp began in 1990 when he worked at a public accounting and consulting firm, devoting significant time to various PotashCorp assurance and consulting engagements.  Rob joined PotashCorp in 1997, and has served in the role of Senior Vice President, Information Technology since 2003.

Mark Leach is currently the Vice President of the Business Technology Services group at Cameco Corporation and has responsibility for the strategy and delivery of IT services globally to all Cameco sites and locations.He has 16 years’ experience in the Information Technology field. Areas of experience include innovation, strategy formulation & transformation, IT / Business Alignment, Program & Project Management, IT governance and infrastructure management.

Kevin Peacock has been in the IT industry for thirty seven years and has had employment experience in both the public and private sectors and also spent a little time in the consulting business. He has been employed by the City of Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Canada for the past twenty one years. He is the Branch Manager of the Corporate Information Services Branch (The IT Branch for the City) and has been in that position for eleven years.
