Randstad’s Western Vice-President will be discussing the current state of IT in Canada: the challenges and new trends we are seeing in 2015, and where we see the field going forward – both across Canada and in the local market.

Scott will also introduce a discussion about the hybridization of layoff survivors – how we created hydra-headed IT professionals and why we now expect them when we’re hiring.

Speaker Biography:

Scott MacKinnon is an innovative leader with over 20 years of experience managing and recruiting in the IT and staffing industries.

Having seen everything from the Dot.Com bust to the rise of big data, Scott’s expertise goes beyond buzzwords and into the realities the industry faces today.

With a background in systems engineering and experience deploying recruitment strategies with leading companies like Microsoft, IBM and Bell Canada, Scott maintains a close watch of industry hiring and training trends.

In 2014 he accepted the helm as Vice-President of the West, where he continues to demand and ensure remarkable achievement and growth in Randstad’s Western Canadian branches.
